Key findings:

  • Germany is the largest destination in the total Europe furniture exports mix, with about 18.8% of latest 12-month export value.
  • The five largest destination markets account for about 46.7% of total exports, showing how concentrated the full destination mix is before removing intra-European flows.
  • In the extra-Europe view, United States is the leading destination, with about 36.5% of export value shipped to markets outside the selected European coverage.
  • The top five extra-European destination markets account for about 55.6% of extra-Europe exports, making this view a direct read on external demand exposure.

Europe furniture exports by country maps the destination markets for furniture shipped by the selected European coverage. The indicator covers HS 9401, HS 9402 and HS 9403 furniture products and separates the full partner-country mix from exports shipped outside the same European country group.

That split is especially useful for Europe because many furniture producers sell through nearby regional markets while also serving larger non-European demand pools. The total view shows the complete export footprint, while the extra-Europe view isolates external destination exposure and makes the region's global demand profile easier to read.

Market Context

Europe's furniture export base is spread across many producer countries, price segments and distribution channels. Destination-country shares help show whether export growth is anchored in regional demand inside Europe or in external markets that can be more sensitive to exchange rates, freight costs and consumer cycles outside the region.

Use this page with Europe furniture exports by year to connect destination concentration with the total export trend and see whether changes in export value are supported by a broad destination base or by a smaller set of markets.

Total View

The total view includes all partner countries reported by the selected European coverage, after removing world and aggregate partner codes. It therefore captures the complete destination mix, including trade between European countries and exports to markets outside Europe.

Trend Overview

In the latest 12-month total view, Germany is the largest individual destination, with 18.8% of Europe furniture export value. The top five named destinations account for 46.7%, which makes the full destination mix relatively diversified. France and the United States are the next largest visible destination markets. The Others category represents 35.9%, showing how much export value is spread across smaller markets.

Extra-Europe View

The extra-Europe view removes partner countries inside the same European coverage. It is the cleaner view for external demand exposure because it focuses on furniture exports shipped to markets outside the selected European region.

Trend Overview

In the latest 12-month extra-Europe view, the United States is the leading external destination, accounting for 36.5% of export value shipped outside the selected European coverage. The top five extra-European destinations account for 55.6%, so external demand exposure is moderately concentrated. Beyond the United States, the next visible destination markets are China and the United Arab Emirates. Smaller destination markets grouped as Others represent 32.6%.
